A beautiful winter holiday scene of a couple bringing home a freshly cut Christmas tree on their red sleigh. Having trudged through the snow, home is a welcome site with the dog and friend there to greet them. A warm fire awaits with cozy blankets and hot chocolate. Reproduced from a stunning original painting by the incredible and now iconic Canadian folk artist Maud Lewis. Maud was uniquely creative, self-taught, specialized in painting everyday rural life, loved animals and appreciated the beauty of nature.
Bill Ferguson signed a contract with Maud and Everett in 1962 to reproduce the work with no terms. The collection was made to try and highlight Maud's work as an artist and gain more popularity for her. Permission was given for the images to be used freely and with love. To learn more visit maud.ca
