One of Canada’s most celebrated artists, Emily Carr (1871 - 1945), Victoria, BC, is widely recognized for her paintings of the Pacific Northwest Coast landscape. Her work was informed by several influences including Indigenous cultures, French Post-Impressionism and the mentorship of many artists who she befriended in Canada.
