Turquoise is named after the beautiful light blue colored waters of the island Tahiti in the Pacific. Turquoise was born in a sanctuary in Pape'ete, where she was raised by zoologist handlers until the age of three when she was tagged and then set free into the Ocean blue. She returns to beach near the sanctuary every year to lay her eggs in the sand!
